BIG MAMA THORNTON’s Graveside Monument

Support Needed for Big Mama Thornton’s Graveside Monument

The Wiregrass Blues Society is reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for your support in our endeavor to honor the legendary blues artist, Big Mama Thornton. As you may know, Big Mama Thornton made significant contributions to the blues genre, leaving an indelible mark on the music industry.

In recognition of her unparalleled talent and lasting impact, we are undertaking a project to establish a graveside monument in Big Mama Thornton’s hometown, Ariton, AL. This monument will serve as a tribute to her extraordinary legacy and provide a place for fans and admirers to pay their respects.

However, such endeavors require financial support, and we are seeking donations from individuals and organizations who share our passion for preserving the cultural heritage of blues music. Your contribution will directly contribute to the creation and maintenance of the monument, ensuring that Big Mama Thornton’s memory continues to inspire generations to come.

If you are able and willing to support this cause, we kindly request your donation. No amount is too small, and every contribution brings us one step closer to making this project a reality.

We understand that there are many deserving causes, and we appreciate your consideration of our request. Your support will play a crucial role in commemorating the life and artistry of Big Mama Thornton.

Thank you for being a part of preserving the rich history of blues music.
