Since 2011, the Wiregrass Blues Society has honored local living and deceased legends. We choose musicians who have enriched our musical culture, focusing on the legacies of blues-oriented or blues-inspired musicians who originated from our region.
We are proud of our honorees and all of their incredible accomplishments. To date, the Wiregrass Blues Society has honored fifteen living and deceased honorees by paying tribute to their outstanding artistic achievements!
In the early years of the Festival, we honored only blues musicians. However, we broadened our focus in 2015 to include other notable pop musicians and music industry people that have come from the Wiregrass region.
All of the living and late honorees are listed below for your reference. We encourage you to explore the exciting and influential history of these legendary artists!
